New: Health insurance requirement for California

Beginning 1/1/2020, all California residents must have qualifying health insurance coverage for all members of your household or obtain an exemption from the requirement to have coverage

If not, pay a penalty when they file their state tax return (starting from $750)

CA FTB: New Health Care Mandate

New: Charitable contribution deductions

For the 2022 tax year, charitable contributions can only be itemized i.e. the CARES Act is no longer in effect.

If your standard deduction is higher than your itemized deduction, you may not choose to deduct charitable contributions.

Charitable Contribution Deductions

Clients must upload documents at least 72 hours before their appointment

Appointments without all necessary documents may be cancelled.
